Anna Mönnich is a german screenwriter and director based in Ulm.
As a writer, Anna is fascinated by the development of characters, the complexity of their relationships and working that through with the actors on set.
She enjoys collaborating with other artists to in this way create very different projects.
With her collective „Lagerfeuer Writers’ Room“, represented by the Agency “Above the Line”, Anna developed a 360° VR Cinema series that was awarded a development grant from the Wim Wenders Foundation.
Her short film “Eleonore Schwarz's most urgent longings” premiered at the Max Ophüls Festival and then toured around the world.
Together with Mark Klawikowski Anna founded the company "Studio Gläx GbR”, which specializes in creating puppet-films. They were awarded with the „Ideenstark“ prize of the MFG Baden-Württemberg.
With a profound appreciation for the film community, Anna established the women's film festival “Sister’s Wild Cinema”.
