In West Hollywood, Ca. I am a Director first and a writer second.
As a kid, I loved films growing up. I would steal my parent's VHS tapes and record them with my own movies. Usually, they were about batman or dinosaur toys fighting. My dad was a massive inspiration for me. He would take me to the movies and introduce me to notable franchises like Lotr and Starwars. I also drew a lot as a kid and eventually developed an eye for composition. The movies I grew up with were Back to the Future II, Wayne's world, and a VHS version of Rambo from a TV channel.
I did not go the traditional route of filmmaking. My life in films actually started after I served in the Army for four years. When I was out, I was able to rediscover my passion for Directing. With some research, I thought the best way to get an edge in the industry was through technical know-how. so...
I went to school and graduated from Gnomon School Of VFX With a 3D generalist Certificate. After that rigorous program, I then went to UCLA Ext to continue my Film studies in directing. And now I currently write and direct Full-time -- Paying and not paying.
The films I make are generally for my pitch packets and general Ideas I may have. In my opinion, as an artist, we must learn from the masters and recreate things as we go before we start to add all the nice toys ( IE. VFX).
What am I looking for here?
Mainly collaborators that are local to me in Los Angeles. I can make exceptions, of course -- like if you are on the post side of things.
Unfortunately, Long distances with crew members and actors are not really helpful when I need to make something here in LA. However, It does not mean I won't keep our conversation going.
I hope to meet and grow with everyone here and look forward to seeing where Stage 32 can take us all together.
Best,
Indy
Unique traits: I draw and paint.
