Carlos Martin

Carlos is a Grade School/Substitute Teacher that enjoys the film community. He is a California, Bay Area local that enjoys helping others in aiding in storytelling. Carlos grew up speaking Spanish and English. While in college he took some French classes.

Carlos was always one to have a love for action films especially watching the “Bruce Lee” movies growing up. While in middle school he was bullied by a group of high schoolers and his father had him enroll in karate classes. He then went to college and discovered a range of martial arts that included judo, hapkido, taekwondo, and capoeira which he took for several years. Eventually, after college, he would enroll in a kung fu school which he studied for over 2 years.

As Carlos became more interested in acting and began taking classes and found “Stage Combat” classes being offered in his area. He began taking sword classes which he is looking to work and incorporate in action projects as well as his martial arts.

As well as martial arts, Carlos discovered his love of storytelling during a master's program. Although he never finished the master's program, he eventually found his way back to storytelling and has begun to write again. He does not have a specific genre but goes along with the idea whether it’s for a children’s book or a feature. Currently, he is working on some rewrites.
