Maalik Evans is a screenwriter and filmmaker who hails from the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. After graduating high school, Maalik moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting. A couple years later he stumbled into screenwriting after a close friend suggested to him that he should turn his film/TV ideas into scripts.
Maalik continues to hone his craft, while taking meetings, and constantly looking to create new material. In his spare time, he writes articles and essays for Medium, TheGrio, and Blavity.
