About Matthew
A native of Washington DC, I started writing as a teenager, keeping a journal and trying my hand (poorly) at poetry. I spent 35 years working in bars and restaurants and writing after the day was done. After several false starts plotting out novels, I realized that I wanted to see my stories in real time so I began thinking: screenplay. In the meantime life was happening, and nine years ago my wife and I realized our dream of moving to Panama, where I was able to finally focus on my passion.
Currently I have five feature length scripts and a 15 minute short completed, with 6 more projects in various stages of development. I also won an assignment online from an Australian producer to collaborate on an animated feature for which I was paid. I am now a professional screenwriter (with still lots of work to do breaking in to the industry, LOL).
