About Aine

Aine Dixon
Founder & Executive Director, Sustainable Youth Development Foundation (SYDF)
Profile Summary
Aine Dixon is a dedicated social entrepreneur and humanitarian, best known as the Founder and Executive Director
of the Sustainable Youth Development Foundation (SYDF). Founded in 2015, SYDF is a social enterprise focused on
empowering Ugandan youth through hands-on skills training aimed at eradicating poverty. Dixon's vision is to create
a generation of Ugandan youth who are poverty-free, socially and economically self-reliant, and fully aware of their
rights and human dignity. Dixon's passion for youth empowerment is deeply personal. Having grown up as an orphan, he experienced
firsthand the struggles of youth without proper mentorship, support, and self-sufficiency. Despite these challenges, Dixon's resilience led him to put himself through school and secure employment independently. This strong sense
