Sarim Akbar

My name is Sarim Akbar, born in Pakistan and primarily raised in Canada. I am an aspiring Filmmaker, Director and Screenwriter. In addition, I specialize in Graphic Design and Digital Music Production. I have recently graduated with a BA honors in Cinema and Media Studies at York University. My passion for storytelling began at 5 years old and has grown ever since. I love all genres including drama, comedy, horror and sci-fi, but if I were to choose one to write a feature film for it would most definitely be Science Fiction. Some of my favorite films include Avatar (2009), Blade Runner (1982), Before Sunrise (1995) and The Prestige (2006). I have been writing several feature film and television scripts over the past few years and I look forward to becoming a part of this vibrant industry andconnecting with all the wonderful creatives on the platform. Very excited to join the Stage 32 Community!
