Derick Ackerley

A recent graduate of Loyola Marymount University (screenwriting, economics) who's professional mission is to make a living as a writer in film/television.

Started at Sony Pictures Entertainment as an assistant and has since moved on to a coordinator in marketing.

Is fortunate to have the opportunity to write during off-hours every day, improving craft and gaining an understanding of the business end of a creative industry.

So far has been a finalist at the Beverly Hills Film Festival and the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards.
