Mike Stechyson began his acting career at the age of 18. He began working as a background performer on the BiteTV series "Guidance", which later turned into his first small acting role. After discovering his new found passion, Mike decided to pursue acting full time. He began taking acting classes at the top acting studios in Toronto and acting in low budget and student films. With a few years of experience under his belt, Mike met and signed with one of Toronto's most reputable talent agents and began auditioning for both network TV shows and feature films.
Mike has booked work on Discovery ID and CBS shows, having worked with actors such as: Antony Starr (HBO Series "Banshee"), Academy Award Nominee Catalina Sandino Moreno (Maria Full Of Grace), Charlie Rowe (The Golden Compass), Jacqueline Byers (Showtime's "Roadies"), Jeffrey Nordling (24, Big Little Lies), Cristine Prosperi (Degrassi: Next Generation), Blake Burt (Pitch Perfect 2), and more. In 2015, Mike starred in the short-film "JOSH" which has screened at multiple film festivals throughout Canada and the United States.
Mike recently played a large principal role in the Lifetime TV movie "Murdered at 17" as "Tryg Bailey". The film airs on March 15th, 2018.
Mike continues his training in Toronto at LB Acting Studio with Lewis and Daniel Baumander, and is currently developing his own work.
