About Alexandra

I am a passionate screenwriter and filmmaker who has made it her mission to change the direction of children’s animation. Dissatisfied with submissive morals taught in current children’s programming, I hope to empower new generations with themes about the nature of adversity in family and progressive relationships while incorporating diverse characters.

I am a 23-year-old alumnus of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts from Clayton, NC. I am compassionate, open-minded, and always ready to learn new things, driven to make a difference. My stories focus on deep personal relationships between characters and working through internal struggles that feel unsolvable.

I have always been in love with the world of animation. Animation is a beautiful and creative way to express stories in a visual format that is always growing and pushing the boundaries of imagination. My recent favorite shows have been Gravity Falls (Alex Hirsh, 2012), DuckTales (Francisco Angones, 2019), and The Owl House (Dana Terrace, 2020).

I am a fast learner in everything I work on, with a problem-solving mindset and a go-to attitude. In high school, I was an elected member of FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America). While in FBLA, I did a video editing competition where I made it in the top ten of the state. I am certified in multiple Adobe products, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
