Tavis is born from good Scottish stock in 19^th century Canterbury, England; yet as he becomes older, he never grows as big or as strong as all the other boys. Tavis is always good hearted, but the bullies are not and poor Tavis becomes the butt end of all of their taunts and jokes. When his father gives his position in the family’s business to his nemesis, Tavis becomes angry and swears to prove that he’s as manly as the next man. He sets out on a safari to far off India.

Is Tavis able to bag himself a wild animal to lay on their parlor’s floor? Or does he realize something much smaller than he needs someone to stand up for them?

Will he every become Tavis the Bold?

BEATRICE is the richest person in neighboring towns that was settled by freemen and ex-slaves in Texas. She’s also smart, and beautiful, and she has the supernatural ability to communicate and control bees. There comes a time when  Beatrice desires to possess the lead stockman, James, of Alford Farms, his daughter, Adalina, and their family business. She will do anything, including murder, to have what she wants.  However, when Adalina is older and learns that Beatrice is responsible for the ruin of her family, she’s able to confront her in an attempt to return everything as it should be. Who will win in this final battle with the bees?
