About Sergio

Sergio Moure de Oteyza,
was born in La Coruna (Spain) in 1969, and has a degree in Harmony, Composition, Musical arrangements and Guitar from the “Conservatori del Liceu de Barcelona” (Barcelona, Spain).
He currently works as a composer, combined with teaching at ESCAC (Catalonia School of Cinema Studies, Barcelona, Spain), and at CECC (Catalonia Centre for Cinema Studies, Barcelona, Spain) as Composition and Musical Coordinator.
In 2004 he composed the soundtrack for “Inconscientes”, his first film score, which achieved a Goya - the Spanish Oscars - and a Gaudi film awards nomination for best original soundtrack.
This work was followed by the soudtrack for the film “Cargo” (Clive Gordon, 2005), composed together with Stephen Warbeck (Oscar award for the “Shakespeare In Love” sountrack), as well as TV productions such as the film “Ecos” (Oriol Paulo, 2006) and “Reliquias” (Toño Lopez, 2010).
Other feature film soundtracks include “Un buen hombre” (Juan Martínez Moreno, 2009), “Retornos” (Luis Aviles, 2010), the recently released the thriller "Secuestrados" (Miguel Angel Vivas, 2011, produced by Vaca Films, producers of Goya film award winner "Celda 211"), or "Lobos de Arga" (Juan Martinez Moreno, 2011).
"Todo es silencio" (Jose Luis Cuerda, 2012) "El Cuerpo" (Oriol Paulo, 2012) are soon to be realeased films featuring soundtracks by Sergio.
Current proyects include the scores for the Argentinian film "Tesis Sobre un Homicidio" (Hernan Goldfrid) and the Spanish film "Somos Gente Honrada" (Alejandro Marzoa), which will be released in 2013.
In 2009, the Galicia Symphony Orchestra premiered his Symphony No. 1, "Admonitum", at the La Coruna Opera Palace (La Coruna, Spain).
