About Bill

Bill Taylor is a queer writer and director based in Toronto, known for emotionally resonant stories grounded in vulnerability and identity. His work explores grief, shame, queer experience, and the quiet ways people wrestle with memory and the possibility of redemption. His debut feature, Don’t Get Killed in Alaska, screened internationally, and his short Silver Road—developed under the mentorship of Oscar winner Sarah Polley—aired on CBC and MTV Logo. His scripts have placed in the Austin Film Festival, PAGE Awards, and Coverfly’s Red List Top 20. The Dogs of Instagram is his most personal work to date, and his second screenplay along with The Summer We Ran to receive a “Double Recommend” from Stage 32.
