I was born in the Azores, Portugal and immigrated to the US at the age of eight due to volcanic eruptions on my island that displaced part of the population. I am a former tax director in a national CPA firm. I have transitioned into writing and have completed my first screenplay, which has garnered some recognition in international competitions. I live part of the year in the Azores.
