Inter Act Art Black Box Theater Festival 2014 Date – Aug 27 -29 Time – 3.30 / 7.00 Venue – Goethe Hall Tickets – 500/- Inter Act Art has been organizing three annual festivals namely, a Black Box Theatre Festival b Short play Festival of Sri Lanka and c The Colombo International Theatre Festival. Even though some German drama were produced in Sri Lanka during the past 30 odd years it our group who has produced maximum number of modern German Drama. Further, A German Theatre Festival has not been organized in Sri Lanka for a long time. Our intention is to hold a German Theatre Festival with a few modern drama in Sri Lanka. This year IAA is Organizing a Black Box theatre Festival at the Goethe Institute. This festival will go on for 3 consecutive days, having 2 performances a day, with a limited audience showcasing the following modern German Drama. 1 The Heart of a Boxer By Lutz Hübner This story talks about the experience of a 69 year old ex-boxer and a 16 year young boy – Jojo, who tries to help the old man – Leo escape from his house arrest. 2 You and Me By Ingeborg von Zadow This story depicts the confusion faced by two young children Doodle and Ziggy of the complexity of the world. 3 Visiting Katt and Fedda By Ingeborg Van Zadow Katt and Fredda lives in a room where everything is in perfect order. A visitor – Miranda enters into their lives and everything becomes complicated. Finally Miranda leaves. Katt and Fredda are left to lead their normal lives.
