About Andrea
I studied Film Screenwriting at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava in Slovakia. In 2018 I attended a course at the National Film and Television School (UK): Writing The TV Pilot by Peter Ansorge and in 2021 I continued my education at Sundance Institute course on TV Writing: Core elements. During my school years I collaborated on several student films screened home and abroad at the international festivals (EnergaCAMERIMAGE 2021, Imagine+Nation 32, 13th Lublin Film Festival, 29th Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film Festival, qFLIX Philadelphia 2019 and others). Last year I collaborated on an experimental film which won a special mention award at the 26th Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival. During the day, I work for an NGO providing services for migrants in Slovakia. I also collaborate with Fest Anča - International Animation Festival and I am a co-founder of Institute Pontón, an independent film-oriented collective. I am almost always accompanied by my little dog Lujza.

Film (short) by Denis Kozerawski, Peter Kašpar (Documentary and Short) co-screenwriter Slovak rapper tells the story of an oak forest. Locals believe that these trees were used to build Columbus' ships. The story of trees whose roots go back to before the Anthropocene and whose wood helped mankind to make the most important historical breakthroughs. Trees whose value is nevertheless seen only through the lens of the market, because they are only worth something to us when they are cut down, cut up and sold. The film connects local nature with the beginnings of colonialism. -

When her boyfriend breaks up with her, she struggles to break free from dysfunctional relationships within her family and towards men and emancipate herself. -

Film (short) by David Benedek (student film) co-screenwriter The story of three young men living in Bratislava. Michal, Šimon and Robo live their everyday worries, loves and family problems. It is only after several unpleasant events that they begin to realise that together they actually form a family.
