Alexander Gerlach

My name is Alex and I love movies.

I had my first filmmaking experiences with Vines at the age of 14 while rediscovering the films of Tarantino, Chaplin, Frank Capra and other masters. I knew I couldn't imagine doing anything else in my life.

Since then, I've been directing and writing short-films. Netflix showed me through The Queen's Gambit, Unorthodox and When They See Us that they can achieve the same quality as movies. Through Stage 32 I hope to get better at my craft.
