Joanne has always dreamed of conducting interviews of celebrities on the red carpet, but on the flipside she also dreams of starring in a major motion picture and being the celebrity getting interviewed...I know it sounds crazy and it’s a complete case of wanting your cake and eating it too. Well, last year one of Joanne’s wishes came true when she was invited to be the red carpet host as well as a presenter at the very first WBSFF. She must have done a great job because they invited her back again this year.
Joanne has been in the entertainment industry for quite some time now and if you look at her business card you’ll see that she has given herself many titles. She’s a TV Host, Actress, Model, Freelance Writer, Promotional Model and of course we can’t forget her full-time gig is as an Account Manager for a top beverage company. Let’s just say that she’s a Jo of all trades.
Joanne hosts a segment on Rogers TV called “Reel Review” and of course it is revolved around reviewing the hit movie of that week. She is also a host for the XS Network where she talks about movies, video games and top entertainment news. She has also been a host for Independent Lounge where she interviews up and coming musical acts, producers, directors, actors and the list goes on.
Just this year she was a host/educator for Vervegirl Magazine. In this role she taught teenage girls how to make a clutch purse, tie and bib necklace out of duck brand duct tape, all while in front of the camera. (Her favourite place to be) These videos led to Joanne signing a contract to become the Canadian Ambassador for Duck Brand Duck Tape.
She has also been a host for Profusion 2011 and 2012 in which she interviewed different presenters & vendors at the tradeshow, plus back in 2008 she was a co-host for Autoshow 2008.
In addition to hosting Joanne is also an actress in 3 training videos for the Barrie office of Coca-Cola. Plus a few months back she was in a commercial for Jackson’s Toyota, plus she has been in numerous infomercials. You may have seen her promoting products such as Hair Wavs, The Steam Styler, Loc n Claw Hair Clip, H2O Mop and The Pure Magic Foot Spa. She’s had the pleasure of learning how to Motor Cross on the MTV segment called “Try”, and tried her hand at TV trivia on the game show “Inside the Box.”
A few years back you may have seen Joanne’s face gracing the covers of “The Source Circuit City” flyers. She’s participated in a Miss Universe Pageant and won the Miss Congeniality award. She has appeared in ads that appeared in both Wedluxe and Elegant Wedding Magazines. In addition to modeling in front of the camera she also work tons of promotional modeling gigs.
The list goes on but to keep this short and sweet much like our Joanne, we’ll tell you to just check out her website if you’d like to learn more:
