Carla Cid de Diego

I was born and raised in Madrid, Spain and since I was 10 years old I've been living between Spain and the USA. My family is all in the Art Industry, my father being a sculptor and Naval engineer, my mother a painter and a specialist in color and together they have a Set Design company in Miami:
With my background in the arts, I studied at Design and Architecture Senior High school in Miami and later on pursued Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. I specialized in Intimate Apparel and took special courses in Corsetry.

I began designing costumes for the International Spanish Flamenco Ballet "Duende Ballet Español" in Miami, where I created great pieces for several shows and events such as the International Dance Fair in Florida.
Right out of College I worked as Assistant Costume Coordinator and Costume Designer for the Florida Grand Opera in Miami, where I met amazing artists and professionals while I continued designing for Duende Ballet.

Over the years I have designed for several Art Directors, Artists and Composers such as Frederick Kaufman, Adriam Lobina, Jeffrey Buchman and many others.

I have also worked as Head Fashion Designer for different companies in Miami, NYC and Spain, designing lingerie, accessories, etc.

Today I am creating my own line of corsetry, my own brand, a High Fashion collection all done by hand by myself. Since I live between the US and Spain I am free to design Freelance or on a Per-Project basis for any shows or projects anywhere in the world.
