Sometimes, Emma wakes up in the middle of the night and asks herself, Why? Why does this happen? Why does that happen? Can she do something about it? Why can’t she do something about it? Emma doesn’t always have the answers to these questions. Emma believes she writes so she can find that out. Emma is still discovering new things about herself every day. What she does know for sure is that she loves to write and tell stories. Growing up, Emma never really had the high school experience that she sees in the films. She has regretted being shy and not trying new things. Emma felt like she was on the outskirts of life. Always the sidekick and never the main lead. Writing is her chance to explore who she is. It’s a chance to put Emma into a world that she never experienced and ask herself, what would she do in this situation? Every day, Emma discovers something new about the world, something new about herself. Emma finds the escapism element of television very special. Her favourite television show is a Chinese drama called “A Love So Beautiful.” The characters, plot line and music always make Emma feel better. It eases her mind during the hardships and helps make the good times even better. Something about this show speaks to Emma's heart and forever stays with her. Emma wants to be a writer’s assistant and work her way up to showrunner. Emma hopes she can write shows that could comfort others like the way “A Love So Beautiful” does for her.
