Ray Keller is an award-winning screenwriter who has written over two dozen screenplays and earned over fifty awards. His latest screenplay, Japanese For Baseball, is an Academy Nicholl Fellowship Semifinalist, winner of the Bronze Prize in the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards and in the top 20 of Coverfly's Red List.
This intensely personal story is based on his father's life-changing experience playing baseball with boys imprisoned in a nearby Japanese Internment camp during World War II.
Ray's journey from an engineer with bachelor's degrees in engineering and business from the University of Colorado to a filmmaker is a testament to his passion for storytelling. While studying filmmaking at the New York Film Academy, he discovered his true calling.
Ray's commitment to making a difference through his films is evident in his founding of Generosity Films, LLC.
Ray's unique brand of film, characterized by Edgy, Socially Impactful Stories, is a reflection of his dedication to telling stories that matter. His approach to storytelling, which often involves a deep exploration of social issues, sets him apart in the industry.
Ray is not only a writer but also a director and producer. He has taken on all these roles in the compelling independent narrative film about the homeless situation, Generosity, which premiered at the First Take Film Festival in Augusta, Georgia.
He is the writer/director of the produced short films The Cheese That Binds and Apple of My Eye, and director of the produced short film Tinder Box (with co-director Christine Barbour).
His screenplays have become a way of breaking down the world and examining how disparate views interact on social issues. Whether it's homelessness (in Generosity), income inequality (in The One Percent), overreaching government surveillance (in National Insecurity), quality of life (in Better Off Undead), the beauty-obsessed social media influencer culture (in Our Ugly Baby), or racism (in his latest, Japanese for Baseball), his technical expertise and life experiences have added realism to his scripts. And there are many other issues out there worth examining.
Ray is currently working on several projects that promise to bring more socially impactful and poignant stories to the screen. He looks forward to sharing these with you in the near future.

Writer/Director Generosity is an in depth look at the issue of homelessness. Through five main characters, the film explores five very different perspectives and asks the viewer to "just how close is anyone to homelessness?" David is a straight-laced fellow who is successful at his job, has many friends and material wealth. After his mother takes ill and he is wrongly accused of embezzlement, his life quickly unravels and he finds himself out on the streets. Chloe is a tortured but spirited teenager who has run away from home. However, friends on the street do not prove reliable and she finds she must resort to the previously unimaginable in order to survive. Sam is charismatic, caring and anti-establishment. Having been homeless for many years, he offers respite to both David and Chloe, and mentors them in the ways of the street. Charlotte is an exhaustively optimistic TV news reporter who will go to any ends to help others and her career. Bob represents all that is wrong with corporate machinery. ... Written by Ray Keller
