Marsy Robinson is the Supervising Producer for the next chapter of Sex and the City: And Just Like That... for HBOMax. She is the Creator and Writer/Producer for the highly anticipated animated series and meta-verse - The Adventures of Hoop and Pep! Prior to that, she was Co-Producer for the Netflix/WB scripted series A.J. and the Queen and for various pilots under MPK Productions/WB for Amazon, Netflix, HBOMax and CBS. Marsy is a member of the Producers Guild of America, is the founder of The Commune. With great care, tenacity, and determination, Marsy emphasizes connection and collaboration - within her company, The Commune to welcome strong, creative minds into a non-hierarchical environment to develop, produce, manage, and sell female forward projects, serving many genres and fulfilling a myriad of storytelling and truth-seeking. Q: What is the format of a webinar?

The Pitch Tank with Special Guest Literary Manager Audrey Knox

We're diving into the first Writers' Room Pitch Tank of 2021 and welcoming special guest, Literary Manager Audrey Knox of The Cartel to critique members' pitches! Audrey worked her way up from receptionist in 2016 to Manager in 2018. Audrey has experience in both scripted and unscripted television, on set, in production, and in writers’ rooms. She has a BFA in Screenwriting from Chapman University. Prior to joining The Cartel Audrey worked in development at WME and Lighthearted Entertainment and in the literary department at Gersh. Last year, Untitled Entertainment and The Cartel - two huge management companies - joined forces to produce films for television and theatrical release. Both companies continue to look for new scripts from writers that offer "escapism to broad audiences."  During the webcast, we hear pitches for Action-Adventure, Supernatural Rom Com, Supernatural Procedural Drama, and more!

The Pitch Tank with Josh Zakaria

We're back in the Writers' Room for the Pitch Tank Webcast with Josh Zakaria.  Josh Zakaria is a film and TV Literary Manager and Producer who launched Zakaria Entertainment, which represents literary clients. Zakaria Entertainment is a unique entertainment company that utilizes a holistic approach when working with storytellers and creators on projects. Josh focuses on building strategic partnerships for storytellers that are necessary for getting these stories told in the appropriate format. Since then, Josh has built a roster of clients who have worked with Kevin Hart's HartBeat, Participant TV, Red Crown Productions, CBS Comedy, Amazon Studios, Mandeville, and more. Josh specializes in identifying and working with writers, directors, and filmmakers who are able to weave unique, authentic, and interesting characters into commercially conscious stories. He began his journey in entertainment at top management companies like Mosaic, Benderspink, and Anonymous Content.

The Pitch Tank with Liska Ostojic

We're back in the Writers' Room for the Pitch Tank Webcast with Liska Ostojic Liska Ostojic is the Head of Development for 120E Films, a company run by filmmaker Pin-Chun Liu. The company's second feature, TEST PATTERN, was released February 2021. Focusing on stories of diverse and underrepresented voices for an international market, 120E Films is interested in short-form and feature-length content that is timely and impactful. Previously Liska has worked at Dreamworks Animation. After graduating with an MFA from the American Film Institute Conservatory, Liska co-wrote the award-winning shorts CONTRAPELO and WAY IN RYE, as well as numerous commissioned features. Her passion remains collaborating with and mentoring writers, discovering wonderful stories that deserve to be told, and championing ones that will make a difference in the world.

The Pitch Tank with Literary Manager, Scott Schulman

We're back in the Writers' Room for the Pitch Tank Webcast with Literary Manager, Scott Schulman, who staffs writers at major Networks and Streamers, and is a champion of helping writers break into the industry! He is currently building a roster of emerging voices and has a passion for representing and inspiring writers.
