About Dee
A Producer once called me a "street writer" because I love to write about true-life experiences,
I was born and raised in South Philly. I began writing after a tragedy.
It was a way for me to vent. Over the years, writing became more to me.
Developing characters to fit a story a story, writing a story to fit the characters.
The script entitled Well Kept Secret was read and considered for production by Susan DeLaurentis.
When I worked with local Director Tigre Hill, I realized how much I loved writing when I was on set.
I volunteered with the Philadelphia Screenwriters for a year to help local writers.
One of my screenplays entitled Salt in the Greens was accepted and read in New York at Project Rushmore Theatre.
It was one of the best experiences for me to hear actors reading my words.
