About Amanda

As a self-made woman with a background in executive leadership, I gravitate toward stories with strong female protagonists. I love giving a comedic spin to deeper underlying subjects and themes to craft entertaining commercial mainstream scripts running the gamut from broad comedy to dramedy, romcoms and action comedy.

While my body of work consists mainly of features, I also have scripts for a single camera comedy pilot and a variety of shorts.

I’ve completed screenwriting courses with NYU and ScreenwritingU, and earned certificates in Comedy Writing as well as Writing a Profound Screenplay.

I hold a doctorate in Law and previously served in local government. Screenwriting offers me the perfect medium to express my creativity and distinctive sense of humor. I currently split my time between Los Angeles and Scandinavia with my Bichon Bolognese, Olivia.
