Happy Sunday Creative Army!
First of all, congratulations to all of you who have already participated in our monthly Introduce Yourself Weekend! Thousands of connections have been made between entertainment creatives and professionals from every corner of the globe. Whether you are a long-time member, or brand new to Stage 32, take a moment to pop over to the Introduce Yourself Lounge and say hello before the end of the weekend. Now, who is ready for some piping hot content with their Sunday morning dose of caffeine?
First up, Vanity Fair chatted with Oscar-nominated cinematographer Lawrence Sher (Joker, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, The Hangover Trilogy) about the importance of color and lighting in film. In this video Lawrence uses examples from his films The Hangover, Garden State, and Paul to illustrate how hues, saturation levels, and light can dramatically effect and illustrate the story and tone of a movie.
Next up, inspirational speaker and entrepreneur Evan Carmichael has some amazing videos highlighting people at the top of their craft - and how they do it. In this video, Evan highlights cinema legend Martin Scorsese (Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, The Irishman, to name a few). Evan pulls clips from dozens of Scorsese interviews, coming together to teach you his top rules for success including having a sense of humor, making sacrifices, meditating, finding like-minded people, and more.
