What has been filmed in Houston?

Houston, TX, has been the backdrop for some of the most memorable movies and television shows in cinematic history. Landmark films such as "Terms of Endearment" (which won five Oscars, including Best Picture), "Rushmore," "Boyhood," "Urban Cowboy," "Reality Bites", and "Apollo 13" all shot iconic scenes throughout Houston's neighborhoods, universities, and restaurants, capturing the city's character on screen. The sci-fi classic "Logan's Run" used Houston's space heritage and futuristic settings, while productions like "RoboCop 2," "Night Game," and "The Bad News Bears in Breaking Training" showcased Houston as versatile and vibrant. Some recent and notable independent feature films are "Bull" starring Rob Morgan, "Red Rocket" by director Sean Baker, and "Charliebird" by Samantha Smart.
