Hello, Stage 32 Family!

It’s been another fantastic month in the Stage 32 Community, and we always love celebrating the progress of our incredible members. This is our monthly opportunity to put the spotlight on some of the writers and creatives in our family and share their progress and successes with everyone! We’re so inspired by their hard work and persistence, and it’s made all the more satisfying when that hard work starts to pay off. So kick back, relax, and read on to learn all about the signings, deals, meetings, script requests, and all of the fun happenings from the month of June…

Success Stories

Congrats to Stage 32 Community Member Lee Shargel whose rom-com series NUMBER 54 was picked up by Buffalo 8 Media Productions, who have come onboard to produce, finance, and assist with distribution. They are currently casting the series and putting together the crew in preparation to shoot a 5-minute teaser. Lee attributes this amazing progress to Stage 32 exec and professional showrunner Peter McDonough, for starters. Peter read the teleplay and worked with Lee to provide invaluable notes and guidance that helped craft the script into sellable shape, and now Peter will be serving as showrunner on NUMBER 54! Lee also cites exec Alexia Melocchi and her live webinar for helping him learn the skills of pitching, in order to hone his presentation for the series which in turn aided in him selling the project. He now calls Alexia not just a great teacher but also a friend. Congrats to you Lee, Peter, and Alexia!
