Happy Sunday Creative Army!

I hope you have had a healthy and creative week. This past week on Stage 32 has been an epic testament to the power of our growing online community of film, tv, and digital creatives worldwide. We had over 1,000 of you tune in live from every corner of the globe for my Ask Me Anything: Quarantine Edition. This past Friday night, we laughed together over socially distant cocktails during our virtual table read and happy hour. Stage 32 is committed to bringing you entertainment, education, and community from the comfort and safety of your own home and there will be a lot more where that came from.

I hope you have a nice cup of coffee with you because your weekly dose of content is coming in hot.

First up, in honor of our recent shout out in The Hollywood Reporter, I'm bringing you a throwback roundtable The Hollywood Reporter did with an amazing group of Casting Directors back in 2013. Actors, casting directors, and filmmakers alike have a lot to learn from the talented women behind the table of some of the biggest casting offices in Hollywood. You will hear from Juliet Taylor (Cafe Society, Magic in the Moonlight, Blue Jasmine, Sleepless in Seattle), Ellen Lewis (The Departed, The Wolf of Wall Street, A League of Their Own), Patricia DiCerto (The Devil Wears Prada, Wonder Wheel, Midnight in Paris), Laura Rosenthal (A Quiet Place, Chicago, The Young Pope) and Jennifer Euston (Orange Is the New Black, Glow, Girls).

Next up, as you are likely familiar a logline is a short description of your movie used when pitching. Naturally, paring down your 100-page script into a single sentence is tricky and screenwriters and producers everywhere struggle to get it just right. In our next piece of content, Film Courage chats with screenwriting consultant Naomi Beaty about what 3 mistakes screenwriters commonly make in their loglines (and how to avoid them).

Here at Stage 32, we love to share stories and knowledge with our fellow film fans. Know someone who would love this content? Share it with them! Tag them below! You can keep up with all of our content by subscribing to the Stage 32 YouTube. For all of the latest updates on our Stage 32 screenings initiative follow me on Twitter @rbwalksintoabar.

Wishing you a very happy, healthy, and creative Sunday.

Cheers,

RB
