Happy Sunday, Creative Army!

Have you had a creative weekend so far? I have some content here for you that is sure to get the creative juices flowing, so grab your coffee, and let's dive in.

First up, we're getting some inspiration from GQ and one of the most influential cinematographers of all time: Sir Roger Deakins. This man has worked on some of your favorite films (whether you were aware of it or not), including 1917, THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, SICARIO, THE BIG LEBOWSKI, NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, FARGO, and many more. In this video, he breaks down his career, influences, and approach to making these incredible movies.

Next, in a video from StudioBinder, we're looking at the evolution of Virtual Production. This style of production allows the director and actors to create entire digital worlds to film and move within on set, replacing the need for green screens. It's arguably not a new technique as rear projection has existed for decades, but its use is a gamechanger for filmmaking and a great example of how videogames have impacted filmmaking since the technology used was originally developed for video games. This fantastic video provides an overview of Virtual Production's history and evolution, as well as its potential in future films and series.

As always, here at Stage 32, we love to share stories and knowledge with our fellow film fans. Know someone who would love this content? Share it with them! Tag them below!
