How to Get Help from Stage 32: Meet the Teams Behind the Scenes

Posted by Brandy Camille

When I first applied to Stage 32 in the spring of 2024, I was immediately drawn to RB’s mission of making opportunities in the entertainment industry more accessible. At the same time, I couldn’t help but wonder what I could really bring to the table as a guest service professional with nearly two decades of experience. That question didn’t linger for long, because once I was offered the position and jumped in, the answer became very clear.

My day-to-day goal is simple: to make sure the Stage 32 community feels supported, not just as users of a platform, but as creatives navigating an often unpredictable industry. Preparing work to take to market can be anxiety-inducing in any field, but especially in entertainment, where the landscape can shift overnight. Being part of a team that shows up for creatives during those moments is something I’m incredibly proud of, and I’m genuinely excited about all that we continue to build in support of what RB lovingly calls “The Creative Army.”

Support at Stage 32 is truly a wheel with many spokes. From the inside, we know exactly who handles what, but from the outside, that can understandably feel a little confusing. That’s why I teamed up with Ashley, our Head of Community (and one of the greatest tag-team partners of all time, seriously, if we were wrestlers, we’d have a few championship belts by now), to put together this blog. Our goal is to offer clarity around which email address to use based on the type of support you’re looking for, so help can be timely, efficient, and streamlined without overlap behind the scenes.

Ultimately, this blog exists to help us help you. We want you to know that we’ve got your back every step of the way. And if you’re ever unsure where to start, have questions, or just aren’t quite sure which email to use, simply reach out to support@stage32.com

We’ll make sure you’re pointed in the right direction.

The Stage 32 Mission:

When Stage 32 Founder and CEO RB Botto first created this platform 14 years ago, he had one mission in mind: to make the entertainment industry more accessible, more collaborative, and more human.

“As an actor, screenwriter, and producer, I have experienced the challenges and frustrations associated with living a creative life. What I’ve learned over the years is that connections, support, and affirmative energy matter equally to honing one’s craft. This platform is designed to provide networking opportunities as well as an extremely positive and collaborative environment conducive to the success of every film, television, and theater creative regardless of geography or experience.” – RB Botto

That vision is what drives every single one of us here at Stage 32. From the moment you sign up, you’re not just joining a website; you’re becoming part of a global creative network that’s designed to support your journey, answer your questions, and help you succeed in this business, no matter where you are in the world.

So, who’s behind the curtain making sure that happens? Let’s introduce you to the incredible teams that keep Stage 32 running, and show you exactly how to get help when you need it.

The Three Pillars of Stage 32

At Stage 32, everything we do is built on three core pillars that define who we are and how we serve you:

How to Get Help from Stage 32 Meet the Teams Behind the Scenes

1. Community

Stage 32 is a free global networking and education platform with over 1.3 million members across more than 190 countries. Our members represent every corner of the industry: screenwriters, filmmakers, producers, actors, directors, editors, sound mixers, composers, executives, reps, authors, animators, financiers, and so many more.

We know that being a creative can often feel isolating. That’s why we’ve built a place where you can always find support, mentorship, and connection, 24/7, from anywhere in the world.

Every day, members engage in meaningful conversations in the Stage 32 Lounges, attend free monthly webcasts and Ask Me Anything events, learn from the Stage 32 Daily Blog, and take part in fun community initiatives like Introduce Yourself Weekend, July Filmmakers Club, and November Write Club.

Stage 32 has been called “the friendliest online community”—and we take that title seriously. Our entire team is here to make sure you always feel welcome, inspired, and empowered to keep creating.

2. Education

Stage 32 is proud to be the world’s leader in entertainment industry education, offering over 3,000 hours of live and on-demand content taught exclusively by working professionals.

Our webinars, classes, and labs cover every area of the craft, from screenwriting and directing to producing, financing, and distribution, and they’re accessible worldwide, anytime. Stage 32 Education has been called “the Netflix of entertainment industry education”, and our global partners include Netflix, Cannes Marche du Film, American Film Market, Canon, Variety, United Airlines, and many more.

Our educational programs have been featured in Deadline, The Hollywood Reporter, Forbes, and CNN, and they’re used by studios, production companies, and film commissions around the world.

We’ve also expanded our educational mission with Stage 32 Certification—our affordable version of film school online. Certification courses train below-the-line professionals in real-world skills that are immediately applicable on set. Over 55 film commissions and growing are using Stage 32 Certification to hire and train local crew members for productions worldwide.

Every course is accessible to anyone, no application required, and every certification is recognized globally through an online hiring database.

3. Marketplace

Stage 32’s Career Development Marketplace is where art meets opportunity. Our Development Services team actively advocates for you, connecting your work with over 3,000 working executives, managers, and producers.

Whether you’re submitting your script for coverage, pitching to a manager, or refining your portfolio, our marketplace helps you take actionable steps toward your career goals, with guidance from professionals who know what’s selling and who’s buying.

Real careers are built here. Just this year, Neighborhood Watch (starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan & Jack Quaid) premiered in theaters, and its producer discovered the project right here on Stage 32. Countless members have found representation, production partners, and life-changing career breakthroughs through our platform. Real opportunities are happening to those who put themselves out there.

Our mission is simple: connect the right executive with the right writer to help your script stand the best chance in the marketplace. Stage 32 operates with full transparency. You choose who reads your script based on their bio, credits, and genre expertise. You're strategically positioning your work in front of decision-makers who can actually move your career forward.

When you work with our marketplace, you're getting professional script coverage and consulting from executives at companies like Amazon, HBO, Apple, Blumhouse, CAA, WME, and hundreds of independent production companies. You choose your reader by their experience and what they're actively looking for. Our pitch sessions let you present your project directly to managers, agents, and producers in live one-on-one sessions. If they like what they hear, they request your script. If they love your script, they take meetings, sign you, option your work, or connect you with their network.

Our team tracks what executives are actively seeking: specific genres, tones, budget ranges, and helps you submit to the right people at the right time. We meticulously monitor every script request, every meeting set, every pass, consider, and recommend rating. When a script earns a Double Recommend, it's added to our Stage 32 Lookbook, which is circulated to over 500 managers, agents, and producers, including CAA, WME, Anonymous Content, and more.

Over the past year, hundreds of our writers have signed with managers and agents, optioned or sold their scripts, been staffed on series, found producing partners, secured financing for independent films, and landed writing assignments. Real careers are built here.

Led by Geoffroy Faugérolas, former executive at Coverfly, Imagine Entertainment, ICM Partners, and Paramount, our Development Services team has spent over a decade facilitating connections between writers and the industry. We advocate. We help you package your project for decision-makers by understanding what executives want and how to position your work to get their attention. We help you navigate the industry landscape by knowing which executives are looking for what, which companies are in active development, and where your script fits in the current marketplace. We're focused on helping you build real relationships that move beyond one-off transactions to create lasting connections with industry professionals who can champion your work, and we give you real-time insight into what's selling, who's buying, and what executives are actively seeking right now.

The best part? The Marketplace isn't just for seasoned pros; it's designed to help writers at every stage. If you're early in your career, you can get professional feedback from working executives who can tell you what's working, what needs work, and how to position yourself in the marketplace. If you're ready to find representation, you can pitch directly to managers and agents actively building their rosters. If you're looking for production partners, you can connect with producers seeking projects in your genre with realistic budgets and clear commercial paths. And if you're building your network, every consultation, every pitch session, every coverage report is a chance to build a relationship with an industry professional who can champion your work.
