Happy Screenplay Saturday Stage 32!

I hope you all had a beautiful and creative week. I was catching up on the trades this week (following the very sage wisdom of our founder and CEO Richard "RB" Botto: Always read the trades and know what is going on in the business of entertainment!) and I came across an article from Deadline Hollywood about the Emmy-nominated HBO Max show Hacks. I haven't had the chance to watch this show yet, but it is at the top of my list because Jean Smart is a brilliant actor (raise your hand if you remember her recurring role in Frasier as Lana Gardner *raises hand*)

This show has received a whopping 15 Emmy-nominations this year, one of which is for outstanding writing on the pilot episode. Deadline shared a brief Q&A with the writers Jen Statsky, Lucia Aniello, and Paul W. Downs, as well as provided a download for the pilot script. Give it a read and let me know what you think in the comments below! What did you love? What bits of character development inspired you?

My natural southern roots strike again when I play Helene on Polygonerz, now streaming on Amazon.

On stage, I'm known as the comedienne "Trixie Treble", where I have been humbly dubbed "Lucille Ball in a Garter Belt". Simply put: adorned in bedazzled ensembles, I sing parodies while expertly executing awkward dance moves - usually while eating a baguette (or a cupcake, depending on my mood).
