Hey guys. A quick reminder that Film Con Hollywood (hosted by Stage 32 and the LA Acting Studio) takes place this Saturday at the LA Convention Center. The buzz is high, the stage is set and we’re fired up to bring you a full day of keynotes, panels, workshops, networking, pitching, screenings and more.
Whether you’re an actor, screenwriter, filmmaker, producer, content creator, film financier or are looking to further your career in the film, television or content creation business you will leave Film Con Hollywood inspired, motivated and with actionable and timely information to help you move forward with your craft and with navigating the business.
We have over 60 working industry speakers who are beyond excited to take part in this first inaugural Film Con Hollywood. To see the full list, click here.
In the morning, we will have all encompassing industry panels on such subjects as the new DIY world of developing, producing and distributing content, how to navigate the current political and social climate within the business, landing representation no matter what your creative pursuit, the importance of networking, brand building and crowdsourcing and much, much more.
In between the morning and afternoon session, we’ll have a couple of book signings with David Banks signing copies of his new one, How to Make a Living as a Commercial Actor, and yours truly signing copies of Crowdsourcing for Filmmakers: Indie Film and the Power of the Crowd.
In the afternoon, we will break into 3 workshop groups: acting, screenwriting and filmmaking. Attendees can attend any workshop they choose and switch from session to session.
Late in the afternoon, we’ll have our Stage 32 Pitch Tank where select attendees will get to pitch their projects to our panel of expert judges.
Then, it’s on to a very important networking event. Get to know your fellow attendees and the panelists in an intimate setting.
Finally, we’ll be giving our Lifetime Awards to Chevy Chase and Jillian Bell followed by an amazing short film program and awards ceremony.
Then you get to sleep…We’re not responsible for that part, however.
Hundreds have signed up for Film Con Hollywood and there’s still time to grab tickets. For those planning to attend this inspiring, motivational and educational day, I look forward to seeing you there!
Cheers!
