This is a story set in 2050 - a divided America. It's the first in a trilogy, a thrilling ride, and ends on a hopeful note. Has anyone turned their script into a graphic novel? Or can anyone help me with the graphic part of this? Seeking investors too. Tips are also welcome, of course!

Start smaller. A single issue, or a sample scene. Pay an artist to work with you on it. See how that goes. Come up with a contract you’re both happy with. Is it work for hire or a partnership where you share ownership? If the latter, protect your original screenplay rights so you own and control those separate from the comic.

I should add that I am not a lawyer, and it’s advisable to talk to a lawyer to help with contracts.

Mirtha Vega, if you're looking to collaborate with an illustrator, you can add a post to the Stage 32 Job Board here- https://www.stage32.com/find-jobs

I would echo what Mike Boas said, I would start small and be very strategic with who you work with artist, etc. It only takes a spark to start a fire, if a single issue takes off then you'll find it much easier to complete a trilogy or series of books.

Would work with a comic book illustrator to get a 6-page sample together to take to comic companies to pitch

Mirtha Vega, have you considered pitching your dystopian feature and graphic novel project to Dark Horse Comics? ( www.darkhorse.com) Their interest in your Story/Series would give you a boost on the funding and graphic side of things, and if they pass - the feedback you (hopefully) receive would help strengthen the story idea as you continue the project on your own. It doesn't hurt to query. Also, if you use Final Draft in your workflow there is a Dark Horse manuscript template included in the software package.
Dark Horse Submissions Policy
Dark Horse accepts two types of unsolicited submissions -- Art Samples or Story/Series Proposals from writer-artists or writer and artist teams.
Dark Horse does not accept any submissions that include material generated by computer Artificial Intelligence programs.
