YOU WILL GO FAR — A Short Film Told from the POV of Bonnie & Clyde’s Death Car
What if the most haunting story of the Depression era wasn’t told by Bonnie or Clyde… but by the car that carried them to their end?
You Will Go Far is an animated/live-action short film I’ve created, told entirely from the perspective of Bonnie and Clyde’s infamous Ford. From the factory floor, to lovers' getaways, to a bullet-riddled ambush—this film follows a machine that never asked to become part of history. No dialogue. No gunmen. No glamorization. Just a haunting, visual journey through time… all leading to its final resting place behind glass in a Nevada casino.
The pivotal moment—the ambush—is driven by a track I composed called “V8 Apocalypse.” It’s raw. It’s relentless. And when paired with the moment the car is shot to pieces… it hits like nothing else I’ve made.

I don’t say this lightly: this project has serious awards potential. And I’m not afraid to say so. We don’t always get second chances to build something lasting. I’m putting everything I have into creating stories that matter—for my family, for the world, and for the love of the craft.
I’d love to hear your thoughts. And if this resonates with you—let’s connect.

A short film told from the POV of Bonnie & Clyde’s death car is unique idea, Wyman Brent. I can see it working as an animated or live-action film.

Maurice Vaughan, thank you. I am glad that you like the idea. In the film, Bonnie and Cyde are never fully seen. The men that kill them are never seen at all. The entire film focuses on the car from it rolling off the assembly line to ending up in a casino in Primm, Nevada. I have actually seen the real car in Primm. Eerie.
