An actress's dentures are on display in a museum

Mae West went to great lengths to draw people's attention to her perfect smile. But she wore false teeth. Who has the dentures now? Hint: they are in California.

Odd, in my searching the 'net I find this article: http://content.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,919666,00.html

Andrew Sobkovich

So "bite me" may not be part of her repertoire?

LindaAnn Loschiavo

JD Hartman Mae West often pulled that silly stunt: opening her mouth wide to proclaim she had no cavities. I'm guessing that expensive, well-made dentures were so rare during the Great Depression, a reporter could not recognize "store bought teeth." :-)

Andrew Sobkovich Mae West put a lot of things in her mouth. I guess some procedures are more pleasurable when the lady first removes her teeth, eh??? (wink)

Richard Thrift

LindaAnn Loschiavo erm... is there a response to this? Lol

LindaAnn Loschiavo

Yes. Richard Thrift But a lady never kisses and tells.

Perhaps 60 Minutes will do a story on the secret location of Mae's teeth.

I believe they are enshrined here: https://baltimore.org/listings/attractions/national-museum-dentistryThe California claim exists to lure unsuspecting tourists.

What a link! Thank you so much. JD Hartman
