I have had networking requests from a few what appeared to be notable producers with extensive credits as listed on IMDb. Let's put it this way, such individuals would have no reason to join a site like this to network. I never communicated back to anyone of them and noticed later on their profiles were deleted from Stage 32. Just beware there are scammers out there. And be suspect if they request submissions from you. You really don't know who is viewing your pitch or screenplay. Some will lure you with this tactic and soon after send an email to you requesting all types of fees for their promotional services. The Internet is like the wild, wild West.

Thanks for warning everyone, Hanna Strauss! If anyone sees a fake account, scam account, or suspicious account on Stage 32, please email support@stage32.com with the person’s name and their Stage 32 profile link. Thanks.

Easy way to spot them is basically no lounge interaction, then they send a direct message faster than a lightning bolt re: working together or whatnot. The internet is more like ThunderDome!
The best way to nail them is mainly they’re not active in the lounges. And they transmit DMs faster than a speeding jet. The internet is like the world of Mad Max!

OMG! We now have to deal with bogus profiles composed with Chatgpt. When will it end?

No Hanna, they're lazy as hell: they literally copy-paste the IMDB bio from the real director/producer. to Stage32.

Do you mean I'm not chatting with Speilberg?

I can assure everyone that my screen credits pulled from IMDb are authentic.. But I digress...it's just creepy that there are profiles on the internet that are not human and generated by Ai. There is something off about the syntax that sort of gives it away.

Hanna Strauss I agree, and some of these fakes are getting good.

What was really off-putting to me is reading posts and chats in a comments section on a YT Channel and finding out later that Ai bots are actually having convos with each other. And then getting into an argument with an Ai bot on Meta. The bot eventually apologized but I didn't respond and with very little fanfare, deactivated both of my accounts. I can't deal with this. If I wanted to carry on social discourse with non entities, I may as well develop schizophrenia and carry on convos with the voices in my head.

I have seen some scammers sometimes they like to go all out, and even impersonate celebrities.

Watch out for the parrots here as well. There are a lot of them.

:Last week, I got a FB friend request from Elon Musk. I reported it, and the FB Guardians of Truth deemed it a legit account. I still didn't accept.

FB guardians? They are bots as well. They would want you to believe they're Elon. Or his alias: Adrian Mittman
Well, what would you recommend as ones who confirm if request is legit or not?

Thanks for the laugh, Hanna Strauss.

Kevin Hager, I check the account name. In this case, the account was created by Elon Musk 692187. I sincerely doubt Mr. Musk needs a numbered account. He literally has Elon@x.com as a business email.

Bill McCormick: Here's another laughable FB bot moment: I requested their Ai not assist me with my searches on FB. To which it responded that it " understood but if you ever need assistance , I am here to help you". Then I asked: " can you tell me how to deactivate Ai assistance on my account?" It's response almost made it appear annoyed:" You don't want me to assist you with searches but you want me to find information on how to deactivate Ai." I did not respond. A pregnant moment later it replied" I am sorry if I appeared abrupt with my response". As if the damn thing really felt remorse. I just deactivated my account after this.

Yes. Beaware of scammers. First they send you a msg offering to read your script for "free". Then a second email comes in like this: "I charge a small fee of $3,000 to help facilitate the development and production of the project.... My offer is based on my extensive experience and proven track record in the industry. Hiring my services ensures that your project receives the professional attention it deserves, from development through to production." That's awful.

It is good to educate ourselves on all these modern statistics and implement the needful!

"The Internet is like the wild, wild West." Yes apparently it is, Hanna Strauss!
I had a scam just last week of someone using "Evangeline Lilly,," listed on IMDb and apparently made an account here on Stage32.. They sent me at least 4 emails on Stage32. I did NOT even know who that name was Evangeline Lilly, until I researched it!! LOL
Turned out to be a fake account thanks to Stage32, who was on it and had it removed... the last comment in email they had made is WHERE ARE YOU FROM. NEVER answered that one...

I already got another networking request from a bot farmer in another country. Blow me. I maybe old but I'm not brain dead. I don't need you tracking my Internet activity to assess my political leanings..

Transparency and wisdom. Distracted by health care issues amongst others. However our analysis should be: What statistics do these predators look for" and implement safeguard measures, therefore feedback is certainly needed. Transparency should be properly defined from these enteritis and is strongly encouraged even required in demonstration. Wisdom therefore will be tested in our operations and progress concerning general whereabouts in this industry!
Hanna Strauss, understandably, these are always cause for serious concerns!
