How many of you, meaning everyone who reads this, still go to a theater to watch a movie? I still go. I love watching movies in the theater. The movie is more enjoyable to me in that setting.
I do, there’s a third dimension attending a film in theatre/cinema opposed to watch on line or TV App. I enjoy the atmosphere created by some “in the balconies” architecture & even in venues that are quite plain there is interaction with audience in bar after. Also I pay stricter attention to film after collective “herd silence” in an auditorium, I’ve made a physical journey to be there & also want money’s worth from ticket. When I watch films at home on web or TV my mind wanders more cos can stop/replay/catchup or go to fridge etc. I also go to Vintage cinema clubs that play early black & white films.
All we have here is one of those little metroplexes where it's way to loud the only movies they run are the latest crop of factory films. I've built my own home theater where I can watch more meaty fare -- I can pause. rewind and study 'em all I want (I got better snacks too). I don't go to theaters anymore.
James , For years I used to go to every movie that came to the local super cinema, no matter how bad orridiculous it sounded .I loved the experience snd no longer being able to go is one of the worst aspects of a health issueI I now have.that prevents me from going anymore. I MISS it!
