I love using my ronin gimbal. Certainly don't need one for every occasion, but they are nice to have when you don't want to go sticks or pure handheld

it is meant for armatures only , not for professionals , and serious cinematographers, & productions, ok for documentaries,

Bk Moorthy, are there other methods that you would choose to use on a professional set instead of a gimbal?

I've never been a fan of gimbals. They're too mechanical and 9 times out of 10 you notice it in shots. Steadicam offers a more natural feel since it's operated by a human rather than motors interpreting human movement.
That said, gimbals have their place and I love them on dollies, cranes, boats or cars.

I used to fly a Steadicam , and although it was helpful when using a heavy camera rig. It wasn't always necessary, like close up shots of actors embracing.
