Today was one of those days where the songs just arrived.
Dancing Through My Mind came from a single phrase that popped into my head while walking through a parking lot. It turned into a heartfelt love song with zero revisions — it simply poured out.
Judge Mental was sparked by nothing more than a YouTube video title. One word, and suddenly a biting satire was born.
Robots on the Floor? That one is the mystery. No title, no phrase, no spark I can trace back. I just started writing, and there it was: a fun, high-energy dance track about robots grooving under neon lights.
Three songs. Three completely different worlds. All written today.
Some ideas come from a clear source, others arrive out of nowhere — but that’s the magic of creativity. You never know what’s waiting on the other side of the blank page (or the dance floor).
Fellow creatives: do you find your best work comes from inspiration you can trace… or from those moments where the idea just appears without explanation?

It's both for me, Wyman Brent. Sometimes my best work comes from inspiration I can trace, and sometimes the ideas appear without explanation.
