I miss seeing the Oscor nominated songs performed - it's a highlight. After last night's Grammys, which were so cool IMO, perhaps they can do a medly like we saw with the New Artists category performers last night. That was the coolest number of the night to me and there were many. I'd love to see these songs back in the Oscars telecast somehow.

Agreed, Sam Sokolow! The performances of the Best Original Song nominees have always been a highlight of the Oscars for me too! These songs are an essential part of the films they represent, and showcasing them live adds so much to the ceremony. Cutting them not only diminishes the recognition of the songwriters and composers but also takes away a moment of connection for audiences. Music plays such a crucial role in storytelling, and honoring it fully at the Academy Awards feels like the right thing to do.
