In 1988, Rick Schmidt (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0773168/) published a book called: Feature Filmmaking at Used-car Prices
The blurb: "For about $6,000 anyone with the right know-how--and this book--can write, produce, direct, film, edit, and promote a feature film. Step-by-step instructions, summary checklists, and lots of tips on how to save money support the filmmaker spiritually, aesthetically, and technically."
I read it in college. I'm sure some of you remember it. If so, did it inspire you? Did you take the leap and make a film because of that book?

Hey Tucker Teague I haven't heard of this book! I'll have to check it out - I love thinking with micro super indie perspective in mind on my own projects!

Hadn't heard of the book, but made my own solo feature for less than $350 during lockdown, so definitely have to check it out!

I’ll be doing a Kickstarter in July to raise money for finishing costs, but yes! It’s 100% shot.
