Anyone been contacted by a firm out of Thailand called Morgan and Preston? They claim they are looking for a camera op for a six day shoot in Atlanta and I don't even want to get started on the "We'll send you a check first to get gear" scam.

Hey Karen - no it was a text I received and then an email. I ended up replying that I required a phone call to talk to them in person prior to committing to the shoot and I have not heard back. So probably a scam. Will keep you updated.
In the past I have received messages (both text and e-mail) that originated from the Mandy.com platform. They said something like, we are filming in your region soon and want to know your availability. I replied to the first one asking for more information. But no response came. I flagged these with Mandy and they said there was a criminal investigation into those sending these messages.
Always a grain of salt. Always do your Googling before engaging. That's why we pay the big bucks for IMDb.
