What if you had an unlimited location budget? Where would you film a movie and why? Something unique about the location, the scenery, the culture, etc.
If I had an unlimited location budget, I would create the Spiritual Realm of my Soul Mated screenplay, Maurice Vaughan. Doesn't exist in real world, but I would love to build it as a scenario :) It's a lake, surrounded by cherry blossom trees like a small world. I go to share the image with you.
You are right! It is a little Avatar, the Tree of Souls, but is how I see it in my Spiritual Realm :) With the lake, the cherry blossoms and the void around this world :) We can dream and sometimes, dreams happen. Thanks for allowing me Maurice Vaughan
Can I say I'd film within my own mind if I could? lol but for real, I'd probably film all over the world since there's always some cool place I never knew existed. Or I'd pay the best animators. Either or lol
New Zealand is beautiful, Billy Kwack. I think I heard that The Lord of the Rings was filmed there. I just looked up movies that were shot in NZ. Some of District 9 was.
I like that, Banafsheh Esmailzadeh! Filming all over the world. I look at photos online for location ideas for my spec scripts, and I'm amazed by some of the locations I find out about.
A murder mystery on a moon base camp. Shuttle chases instead of cars. Antagonists try to send protagonists too near the sun to burn but baddies end up skyrocketing towards Mars. Also get Richard Branson to build that hotel he’s always promised for my director’s suite.
A full-scale recreation of London, circa 1601, to support a one-take day-in-the-life story of William Shakespeare launching HAMLET at the Globe. So basically BIRDMAN in doublets and jerkins. Great question, thanks!
You're welcome, Yusuf Toropov. That sounds exciting, especially since it'd be a one-take film! I like watching one-take films, and I think they're hard to pull off. My favorite one-take film is 1917.

I like that location, Sandra Isabel Correia. It would look incredible on screen! It reminds me of the world in Avatar, but it's different.

Hi Maurice, also district 9, awesome
That sounds fantastic, Dami | Screenwriter! I didn't know they were building a mega futuristic city in Saudi. You would get some incredible shots.

I like the documentary style of District 9, Billy Kwack. I want to write a script like that.

Great question! I’d probably film in South Africa or Nigeria. There are a ton of stories I’d like to tell on the continent

A murder mystery on a moon base camp sounds interesting, Debbie Croysdale. Apollo 13 x Knives Out.

I'd like to see South African or Nigerian movies get more attention at the international box office and on streaming services, Ayanna Anene.
