Stage 32 community! Have you been wondering how you pitch to investors and what the best approach is for your own film or show is? My background as a CPA has been a unique blend of 'family office' finance for ultra-high-net-worth investors and as a finance advisor and consultant in the entertainment sector. So I know what both sides of the fence look and feel like. Navigating this important aspect of the industry is something that can feel tough, confusing or be overlooked. If you have been wondering how you can become knowledgable and gain these key skills.... Stage 32 has you covered! I'm hosting an ASK ME ANYTHING session next week on June 11th and a master lab that goes in depth to support your goals. Who's joining me?

This is all well and good Emma, but something isn't right here. Either investors are getting some kind of deal upfront and already making their 120% back on their initial investment before a film is distributed, they're getting their cut before the theaters do and forget any percentage on net profit or they have no idea how they are getting ripped off and would rather take the tax write off. I'm sorry. Every major film is taking a loss this year and few films are breaking even. I can't believe any investor is making a killing on their film investments. If there are some savvy investors that really know their stuff, where are they? I don't need a lecture, I need to talk to them directly and not from studio head that wants to build a new house with the budget and shoot two scenes in it so he can get a new house for free. Everyone keeps doing everything the wrong way and are too chicken to try something that, logically, will work. That means some people will no longer be able to scam profits, but if investors don't mind being played, that's their issue.

Emma Louise Smith!! I'm so excited for your AMA and Lab!
Also, there were two different times that I saw you at Cannes, but by the time I was free you were gone, and I never got to grab a hug or catch up in person. I'm sad that I didn't get to say, "Hi!"

I will most definitely be attending the online webinar. I am a person on the extreme spectrum of creative synesthesia. Plus, having ADHD with hyperfocus. I create extremely fast across many fields often on the same day. I want to get my TV shows and films and musical before the public. Not to mention my hundreds of songs.

Will we be talking directly, or do we type in our questions? This is the first webinar for me.

Hi Emma Louise Smith ! thanks for giving of your time for the AMA - what are the current budget brackets studios/streamers or independent financing go by for feature films?

I have a question ready to copy and paste. However, it is not yet letting me post my question. Will that only be at the end of the webinar?
You should be able to post questions in the Q&A box now, Wyman Brent. Maybe try closing Zoom, reopening it, and posting your question again.

Now I am incredibly creative thanks to being on the extreme spectrurm of creative synesthesia. Plus, having ADHD with hyperfocus. I develop fully realized shows and films in a couple of days. I write songs in less than five minutes. I have everything set up with transmedia and a deep ecoystem laid out. Having said that, how do I get the right eyes to look at my work?
