With regard to writing, the children's book, Santa Got A Puppy For Christmas, is back up on Ingram Spark (paperback) and Amazon (eBook) after getting some de minimis edits completed. Other than the book and music potential, the hope is that the children's book and song might be of interest to someone looking for a new angle on a Christmas story.
On the music front, finally got through the process and YouTube has established my Official Artist Channel, complete with the way cool musical note indicator!
I'm continuing to work on music as The Man, but not forgetting my other writing. That, and the day job as a techie.
To you budget-frugal indie producers, if you might be interested in music with lyrics that harken back to the Beat Generation, reach out! We're all trying to bootstrap ourselves and get established. I'd be pleased to pitch in, if you feel that it would be complementary to your project's vision.
As the headline suggests, I'm in the Midwest, so if you're local, say hey!

Hey @David Downes Santa Got a Puppy on Christmas sounds like all the good vibes in the world. There are lots of good options to pitch your children's book to execs who work in Book-to-Film adaptations and media rights/IP via adaptation reviews, which you can peruse here:

Wow. So many stories about Santa are where he gives gifts but not too many where he accepts one. I'd be super interested to know more about your story. Welcome!

Great to see you here and Something Wonderful Right! It’s so awesome to see someone with your experience still energized by fun, low-budget collaborations. I help coordinate pitch sessions and support writers here at Stage 32, and I also come from an animation and storytelling background — so I always love seeing creators who cross mediums with ease. Looking forward to seeing what you’re working on next and hopefully crossing creative paths in the future!
