Bringing 2D Animated Stories to Life Across the World

Hello everyone!

I’ve been following Stage32 for quite some time, and I’m excited to finally introduce myself. My name is Sasha. Originally, I'm from Russia, I moved to Georgia three years ago, and now I’m on my way to France.

I’ve been creating stories for over 15 years. I started as a writer and film director, and eventually found my true passion in animation. What I love about animation is that it allows us to create entire worlds remotely and collaborate across borders. These days, I work mostly as a producer, not just a director - I really enjoy developing projects, connecting with clients, and assembling talented teams.

My Betooned Animation Studio has produced many 2D animated projects of very different kinds - from a narrative series to animation for documentaries and educational content. Altogether, about a hundred people have contributed to our productions. We collaborate with animators, artists, and composers from France, Spain, the U.S., Georgia, Armenia, and many other countries.

I also love traveling and meeting new people - both for inspiration and for work. A month ago, I visited the U.S. for the first time and was deeply impressed by the country. I’m sure I’ll be back soon to discuss new projects and collaborations.

Right now, our studio is developing several animated series projects and looking for partners and platforms to present them. I’d be happy to connect with producers, artists, and anyone interested in storytelling through animation.

Thank you for reading!

Sasha, what an inspiring journey across continents! Your dedication to bringing 2D animated stories to life while navigating multiple cultures shows the universal power of storytelling. I'd love to hear more about how moving between Russia, Georgia, and France has influenced your creative vision.

Finding your passion in animation is a really beautiful thing. I really love animated movies, it has a unique and flawless magic that makes you want to escape into those animated worlds. I'll Google your company, check out some of your films, and anticipate your upcoming animated series.

My passion lies in storytelling and technology. I believe with the power of technology filmmakers could easily reach their audience worldwide. For few years I've been working on a project to enable indie filmmakers distribution their films directly to viewers without middlemen or industry gatekeepers. And talking about partnership and platforms to present your company's upcoming animated series? I'm open to discussions about that, and I'd love to partner with you and your company.

Thanks.

Jon Shallit

Do you need scripts? I asked for an add.

Maurice Vaughan

Thank you, Dao Phuc Quang Vu!

I’ve just recently decided to start a blog about this very topic. The theme of migration and new perspectives on reality is getting a lot of attention right now. You can read my first text about it on Medium - I’ll be publishing more there soon https://medium.com/@shasaivaschenko

Sasha Ivaschenko

Jon Shallit Hi Jon! Nice to meet you, we can discuss about it

Sasha Ivaschenko

Hi Maurice Vaughan ! I'm into Studio Ghibli films. And of course I love Soviet Union animation - one of Miyazaki's favorite films is The Hendehog in The Fog https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFUi7inkAbs

My favorite 2D animated series - "Rick and Morty" and "Bojack Horseman"

I'll check out The Hendehog in The Fog, Sasha Ivaschenko. Thanks. Rick and Morty and Bojack Horseman are on my watch list. My favorite 2D animated movie is a tie between The Lion King and Hercules.

Sasha Ivaschenko Greetings Sasha, I work mostly in live-action but I have an animation series bubbling away on the back-burner. It’s called Gulag Earth. .

Hi Sasha,

I really enjoyed reading your introduction . your creative path from writing and directing to animation is amazing! I love how you use storytelling to connect people from different countries.

I’d be happy to connect and share inspiration about storytelling and visual creativity.

Michael Dzurak

Welcome! Best of luck and good spirits in your storytelling journey!

And also… I just wrote a sci-fi actioner that could be animated.

I am currently working on an adult animated series about a romance between a Christian and an Atheist. I have a pilot script done and proof of concept trailer already animated. I want to bring this thing to life, I have been working on the story itself since 2001. (There is a book too.)

Sebastian Tudores

hi Sasha Ivaschenko - congrats on all you and your team at Betooned have achieved so far. Love your reel. Also, I hope everyone gets the chance to read your inaugural blog post on Medium ( https://medium.com/@shasaivaschenko/all-people-are-migrants-f11b8e9f52fc ). Very wise and beautiful insights. I, myself, was raised in Eastern Europe (Romania) and have made the US my home for a long time. And your 'lenses' are focused on one of the most defining issues of our common future: the dynamics between East and West. look forward to engaging and learning. cheers

Hi Sasha, I sent a network request. I wasn't able to send a logline and synopsis for your consideration. If you are interested, please let me know. I see the story so clearly on the screen. Thank you for your time.
