Greetings to each and every one of you! My name is Michael William Johnson, hailing from Hubbard, Ohio. This is my first post on Stage32, so why not on Introduce Yourself weekend. A little about me since that is the name of this game.
The big news is I have finished my first full length motion picture screenplay! It has taken me two years to get everything perfect, but I can honestly say, I'm very proud of the result. It is definitely a one of a kind, unique story, set in the Mystery/Thriller genre. If anyone is interested, feel free to reach out. (jokerstown@neo.rr.com).
I also work a lot in digital media, and just about anything related to the IT field. I also had some small acting parts along the way.
Enough about me, I'm interested in hearing more about your stories. Why you're here, your projects, etc. I'm looking for some like-minded people to socialize with, maybe bounce ideas off of. With that being said, a big hello to you all, and fire away!

Welcome Michael! I'm a writer and in the process director from Kentucky, but I grew up in Wapakoneta, Ohio. I've written several features, and a handful of shorts. One of the shorts is almost ready to start filming. Not sure what it will amount to, perhaps only good experience. Welcome aboard!

@Deanna That sounds like awesome progress to me. Congrats on filming! Exciting stuff for sure! I have a few other ideas I think would make great stories. The notepad is starting to fill. I'm hoping the next one won't take two years with the experience I have now.

Congratulations, Michael! Is it a screenplay that can be done as a microbudget feature or would it require some serious financial investment to produce?

Wendy Jones , Is a wonderful feeling for sure. The weight has been lifted lol.
Brian Mills , I'm thinking somewhere in between. My script will rely more on top notch acting as opposed to fancy sets. It's a detective type thriller.
