Mentally Chill (Unless I Forget) “It’s an animated mockumentary about my own chaotic mental health journey — the healing, the setbacks, the humor, and the moments I forget everything. It follows me trying to stay grounded while my brain does backflips. My dog plays the silent therapist, and the world around me just reacts to whatever my mind is doing that day.”
I like mockumentary shows, Crystal Rollen! I don't think I've seen an animated mockumentary.
I like Mentally Chill (Unless I Forget)! It's a unique web series! You could post your pilot script on your profile. Producers search profiles for projects. That and networking are how I sold four short scripts to a producer. Click the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner and select “Edit profile” in the drop-down menu. Scroll down to “Loglines” and click “Add/edit loglines” to the right of “Loglines.” You can also post your script on your profile this way: www.stage32.com/loglines (near the top where it says “Add a Logline”)
“It’s an animated mockumentary — kind of The Office meets Between Two Ferns meets a web series that’s totally lost its mind. It follows me, a woman trying to get through daily life with a silent dog therapist and a boyfriend who’s always on his phone trying to fix things. Every episode deals with a new ‘problem of the day,’ but nothing ever goes as planned, so I end up having to figure things out myself. It’s funny, chaotic, and really about learning self-healing.”
It’s something that a lot of people don’t like exploring or scared of exploring. They don’t want others to know that they’re dealing with problems and me I’m more than open. And I think that it will inspire others to be more open about it..
These are short concept and I recommend anyone and everyone to watch. I’m currently learning the animation part. It been a big project but that y YouTube channel and I encourage anyone and I mean anyone who struggles though mental health to know they are not alone.
Sounds fun! As you put together the proof of concept and learning animation, I'd recommend you to join November Write Club (free, all month): it's designed to help creatives stay accountable and push toward year-end goals. Could be helpful as you refine your concept and keep momentum: https://www.stage32.com/blog/november-write-club-week-2-insights-from-th...
