I was born in a Midwestern town just northwest of Chicago. Being from the Midwest, I knew there were few things to do for fun. I used my imagination a lot when growing up. It included fighting monsters and discovering why tree sap was green, unlike our blood. Growing up, I was inspired to write for Television and Film by TV shows such as The X Files and Supernatural. These shows and numerous Films were a love letter to the imagination and everything that lies between. On road trips to see my grandma and grandpa in Saint Louis, I would use that time to read Calvin and Hobbes. This heightened my desire to write more; I was like Calvin from the story. I had a stuffed animal named Big Bird that I would take everywhere. The Big Bird would speak for me as I was a quiet child.

Great to see you again, Christopher Andre. I remember Calvin and Hobbes. I'm surprised they haven't made a movie or show about it yet.

@Maurice Vaughan Same, it's great to see you again.
I know that the creator never wanted to sell those rights!

Maybe the creator will sell the rights one day, Christopher Andre. I think a Calvin and Hobbes movie/show would be a hit.

Great, Christopher Andre. I'm doing the same thing. Pitching my scripts and using them as writing samples at the same time. Have you thought about entering a Stage 32 contest (www.stage32.com/scriptservices/contests). If you win a contest or place as a Finalist, Stage 32 will send your work to agents and literary managers who are seeking new talent as well as other industry pros. If you don't see contests that fit your projects, keep an eye on the Contest Page. Stage 32 will be adding more contests.
