Hi everyone,
Just wondering, does anyone have experience in pitching TV/Advertising commercial ideas to companies?
As a production company, how would you structure a treatment for doing so, and what department in those respective companies would you target to get a meeting?

I worked with a friend who pitches for car commercials. He does a mock shoot with stock footage and some voice over. So they could visually see it!!

Usually ad agencies pitch to clients and production companies pitch to ad agencies. tv commercials are often decided on by top level management and executed by marketing and or communications department - this depending on budget of course. As a producer I am used to pitch verbally, ad agencies often make story/moodboards in full colour based upon a treatment. this also depending somewhat on the type of idea you have and budget. Tv commercials are often part of a larger ad campaign which has a specific plan and strategy often to complement a sales strategy.

Lukas Strautins - you should network with Jonathan Halperyn https://www.stage32.com/profile/653418/about. He is based in Hungary, and his studio there works on features and TV, but also with major brands. I believe he might have some valuable experience in this for you.
